Abstract

This research aim to look for empirical evidence about understanding of asset, liability, and equitys between the student coming from accountancy the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and Sebelas Maret University coming from SMK majoring in accountancy, SMA majoring in IPS and SMA majoring in IPA. This research use type research of survey with quantitative research model with technique of stratified sampling random. Population and of sampel which used in this research is accountancy student of S1 Faculty of Economics and Business Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and Sebelas Maret University year of force 2015 amounting to 84 people. The analyzer used covering; validity test, reliability test, normality test, kruskal-wallis test, and mann-whitney u-test. Result of from this research indicate that understanding level of to elementary concept of accountancy which is proxies with asset, liability, and equitys between student coming from SMK majoring in accountancy, SMA majoring in IPS and SMA majoring in IPA do not have difference and can be told to have the same assessment. Then, mount the understanding of to elementary concept of accountancy which is proxies with asset, and liability, and equitys between student of Muhammadiyah university of Surakarta (UMS) and Sebelas Maret University (UNS) coming from SMK majoring in accountancy, SMA majoring in IPS and SMA majoring in IPA do not there are difference and can be told to have the same assessment.
