Abstract

Fever in children is one disorders healthy and often make the parent felt anxiety. The Parents with rationally action for treatment fever when they are at home would be very helpful of processing fever treatment. Groping assessed when a child fever foreheads-lowering drug fever, according the rules of use, can be influenced by the mother's knowledge about fever so that children are not getting high fever. Objective aim to know the relationship of knowledge of fever with handling of children under five years fever in Bedoro Village of Sambungmacan Puskesmas of Sragen. method was descriptive correlative and uses approach cross sectional. Samples research are 57 mother who have children under five year. Taking sample was using proportional random sampling. Instrument research is using a knowledge and behavior questionnaire after validity and reliability test. Analysis data is using Rank Spearman. Result, there were17 respondents (29,8%) have a good knowledge, 22 respondents (38,6%) with enough knowledge, 18 respondents (31,6%) with poor knowledge. There are 28 respondents (50,9%) with good handling in fevers treatment, 28 respondents (49,1%) was worse. The statistical Rank Spearman test with  = 0.415 with p = 0,001 Conclusion: there is a relationship of knowledge of fever with handling of children under five years fever in Bedoro Village of Sambungmacan Puskesmas of Sragen.
