Abstract
The murder suspect must still have legal protection even if he commits the crime of losing the life of another person, The rights of the suspect are formulated in the Criminal Code and other regulations. To ensure the rights of suspects are met, honest and fair law enforcement is required. The approach method used in the research of this legal scientific work is through the juridical-normative approach, which is to analyze the legislation and regulations on the legal protection of the suspect, whether it is in accordance with its application in Polresta Surakarta. The conclusion of this research is the application of regulation of suspect protection in Surakarta Police in murder case is in accordance with applicable criminal procedure law in Indonesia if the suspect has been accompanied by the power so that his rights as suspect have been fulfilled. But if the suspect is accompanied by the beginning of the investigation then the attorney will be difficult to accompany the court because there is a lawyer's rejection BA.
