Abstract

Hypertension becomes a health problem needs to get attention because of high morbidity and mortality. Hypertension should be treated well because it causes various complications. Then made an innovation to develop compliance into a form of independence to the management of patients, especially those with hypertension. The innovation is based on a behavioral model in the form of a framework that focuses on selfcare. This study aims to determine the description of selfcare in patients with hypertension in the work area Puskesmas Gatak Sukoharjo District. This research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this study were 61 patients. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Research instrument with questionnaire. Data analysis using descriptive test. The conclusion of this research is selfcare description in hypertension patient in work area of Gatak Health Center Sukoharjo District.
