Current bicycle borrowing, generally still using manual system by using paper. In this study, UMS campus is a case study used as a bicycle lending model. Based on observations so far, bicycle lending system is still using traditional methods and has not been supported by computerized systems. This system has several weaknesses, one of which is not effective in data management, because it still uses paper as the identity of the borrower which lead to vulnerability to data loss due to weakness of data security. With this problem, the authors have a motivation about a system that is able to facilitate in improving efficiently, namely by utilizing the technology of the Internet of Things (IoT) on the bicycle lending system as an alternative. The purpose of this study is to facilitate in managing data on bicycle borrowing, both bicycle data, data borrowers and flatecord as a bicycle loan report and minimize the occurrence of missing data. The device used, among others, Light-Emitting Diode (LED) as a simulation of a key system model, Raspberry Pi as its main controller, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) playsa role assisting management of input data into the database of bicycle lending system and a website as interface. Testing is done by using card tag on RFID to process input data on Raspberry Pi, then simulated by using LED and borrower data is displayed in a web and Raspberrry pi is connected using Local Are Network (LAN) cable with PC admin. The results of the research obtained the conclusion that the bicycle lending system by utilizing Raspberry pi devices, RFID, LED and LAN cable making it easier and more efficient than the manual or paper system.
