Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of age, gender, and conscientiousness personality on work motivation and job satisfaction (Empirical study at SMP Negeri 3 Sukoharjo). The data were collected by using questionnaire instrument. In this study the authors used a sampling technique that is census technique using the total population of 50 teachers in SMP Negeri 3 Sukoharjo. Analysis of the data obtained in the form of quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis includes test of validity and reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear analysis, t test, F test, determinant coefficient test (R2), and path analysis. Qualitative analysis of the interpretation of data obtained from the data processing and research that has been implemented by giving an explanation. The results of this study indicate that age has no significant effect on work motivation, while gender and conscietiousness personality have significant effect on work motivation. It was found that age and gender had no significant effect on job satisfaction, while conscientiousness personality had significant effect on job satisfaction. Also found that work motivation is a mediating variable that has no significant effect between age and gender on job satisfaction, but work motivation is a mediating variable that has significant influence between conscientiousness personality variable on job satisfaction.
