Abstract

Rice straw is a waste generated agricultural waste and can be utilized as making ethanol and pulp / paper because it contains high fiber. The raw material is processed through biodelignification by white rot fungi. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of Phanerochaete chrysosporium and Trametes versicolor on rice straw biodelignification process with a single culture and mixed with microscopic parameters white rot fungi growth (mycelium distribution, straw color, texture hay and straw surface) using Flat Digital Microscope. This research method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors: type pattern white rot fungi (J0: control, J1: TV (Trametes versicolor), J2: A mixture of PC + TV and J3: PC (Phanerochaete chrysosporium)) and long incubation (30 days and 40 days). Each made 3 replications. The results showed that the growth of single culture Phanerochaete chrysosporium with longer incubation of 40 days is optimal namely distribution mycelium evenly spread over the entire surface of the media, straw-colored white, texture straw soft and surface straw being crushed than single culture Trametes versicolor and culture interfering in the process biodelignification rice straw.
