Abstract
Health is an important part of human life. Every parent wanted their children to grow and develop optimally. This can be achieved if their bodies healthy. Health needed to be considered in addition to health in general is oral health. Oral health can affect overall health, because oral health is an integral part of the health in general can’t be separated. Children with cavities, will experience pain upon chewing. His brain will be instructed to avoid chewing on the part of the tooth and ordered to chew on the other side. This will caused periodontal disease in this case gingivitis in children. If the disease is already at a high level then all activities will be disrupted by the onset of pain in the cavities. The pain in the teeth interfere with children's learning process, so that the learning achievement decreases. This research was analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study using total sampling with a sample size of 55 students in MI Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Kartasura. This study used Che-Square test. Data Gingivitis and Student Achievement 10-11 years of age grade 5 MI Muhmmadiyah Program Khusus Kartasura obtained tested with Chi-Square test, obtained 0,004 or p> 0.05, which means there is a statistically significant relationship. There is a relationship between Gingivitis against Student Achievement in MI Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Kartasura.
