Abstract

Increasingly the device with the operating system android on smartphones developed by google. Multitasking android operating system that is useful to run various applications together. This allows users to freely choose which app to use. The functionality of a smartphone is not just to communicate with each other between smartphone devices, but it has grown and has many features. One of them is equipped with a camera to take digital images or pictures and store on smartphone devices. Sometimes making digital image quality becomes less good and not in accordance with desire so need to repair digital image. The researcher's goal is to make digital image repair application using spatial filter as a learning media to improve digital image quality on smartphone, there are menus such as brightness, sharpen, smooth, and edge detection.. One of the techniques of digital image processing is by spatial filters. The spatial filter is a process of manipulating various sets of pixels from an image to produce new images and easily imitated by human licks. The advantage of spatial filtering will process images faster. In digital image processing using filter brightness, contrast, sharpen, smooth, and edge detection. In the making of this application using the method of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) starts from searching various material about spatial filters, designing application design and manufacture of digital image processing application using spatial filtering with android studio application. The result is an android application with spatial screening techniques that can be used for the general public.
