Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the mathematics book of junior high school students VIII odd semester is in accordance with the formulation of the 2013 curriculum which includes competence, materials, scientific approach, and authentic assessment.In 2013, there were change of curriculum in Indonesia. The name of the new curriculum is 2013 curriculum. The difference of 2013 curriculum is the student book 2013 curriculum has been provided by the Government. Student book analysis is needed to assess the feasibility of student books in 2013 with the formulation of the curriculum. The analysis is based on four criteria, namely competence, material, scientific approach and authentic assessment. The research instrument is a question form consisting of: 6 competence questions, 8 material questions, 10 scientific approach questions, and 8 authentic assessment questions. The results show that the competency suitability is 93.75% (very good category), the percentage of material conformity is 88.17% (very good category), the percentage of conformity of Scientific approach is 90.82% (very good category), and the percentage of assessment Authentic is 89.27% (very good category). These results indicate that the book is in accordance with the formulation of the 2013 curriculum with an average score of 90.62% (very good category).
