Abstract

Ambarawa was one of the districts in Semarang Regency. The magnitude of the potential of tourism in Ambarawa be the main attraction for tourists, one of which is a cultural or historical tour. Fort Willem I is one of the historical tourism potential that has not been managed well by the government. The high value of history contained within the main reason for the need for revitalization to save one of the region's cultural heritage. Revitalization of Fort Willem I becomes Resort Hotel is the right choice given the lack of accommodation facilities in Ambarawa. Revitalization must comply with existing regulations without changing the concept of the building and damaging the previous colonial buildings. By retaining the facades and utilizing existing buildings will create the impression of classic steeped in culture and history. The addition of recreational facilities associated with the history of Fort Willem I, is expected to be a place for local and foreign tourists for recreation as well as learn more about the history and learn to respect and preserve the heritage-peniggalan history of this nation.
