Abstract

Purpose of the research were to: (1) know the effect of smartphone use on student learning process; (2) know the effect of smartphone usage on learning efectivity; (3) know the relationship between learning process and learning efectivity. This research includes the type of descriptive research with hypothesis testing. The study population is all students of Accounting Education FKIP UMS year force of 2014 who have taken the course of Accounting Cost Control. Samples were taken as many as 230 students. Sampling technique using random sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires that have been tested in advance and tested the validity and reliability test. Data analysis techniques used are simple linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) There is a positive influence of the use of smartphones to the learning process. The use of applications in smartphones that support the learning process will improve the quality of the learning process. The use of smartphones in the learning process is as a means of communication, learning resources and learning media. The contribution of smartphone usage to learning process is 40,5%; (2) There is a positive influence of smartphone usage on learning achievement of APB. The use of smartphones that support learning activities will improve the achievement of learning efectivity. The use of smartphones in supporting the achievement of learning is as a learning infrastructure (learning media), as a source of learning materials, and as a tool and learning facilities. The contribution of smartphone usage to learning efectivity is 36.2%; (3) There is a significant positive correlation between learning process and learning efectivity. Intensive learning process is able to support the achievement of better learning efectivity.
