Abstract

Corn is a plant that is planted on agricultural land in Wonogiri Regency. Corn has many benefit, it is because the content contained in corn can be used as food, feed, and also fuel. The existing threshing process in the Self-Effort has been using corn thresher machine, but threshing is done less efficient because it has limitations in corn stem separation process, so it takes less time to process the threshing of corn. From this the researcher design and make better machine with Reverse Engineering method, which in this Reverse Engineering method has several stages of product disassembly, merging component, benchmarking, and new product design. In the research conducted to produce corn thresher machine as expected Mandiri Perontokan Jagung Business is corn thresher machine with corn stem separator so that machine can help accelerate the process of threshing corn, with time threshing and fuel consumption which originally 12 minutes every 50kg and spent fuel 0.1 liters to 6.5 minutes every 50kg and spent 0.08 liters of fuel.
