Abstract
Working capital is necessary for the purposes of activities in various companies, whether companies engaged in trade / export, industry and construction. The positive development of production and sales resulted in the consequence of increasing working capital requirement, but to know how much ideal working capital needed through the effect of working capital turnover, cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover and profitability (NPM) Sector of consumer goods industry in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2013-2015 period. The design of this study using the type of quantitative research by testing the hypothesis. The data used is secondary data which is sourced from the report of manufacturing sector of consumer goods sector which is listed by IDX. Sampling technique used in this research is by using Purposive Sampling. The analytical tool used is the classical assumption test which includes normality test, multicolinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Methods of data analysis is using multiple linear regression assisted with SPSS program. The result of research indicate that in working capital turn have significant effect to profitability (NPM), cash turnover has no significant effect to profitability (NPM), while receivable turnover also has no significant effect to profitability (NPM), and inventory turnover has significant effect to profitability (NPM).
