Abstract

Waste is an important issue currently often discussed the way to solve it in almost all country, include Indonesia. Waste handling need coordination between the leadership of a region and people who produced waste, so there is no social impact caused by waste. The governments should pay attention to the waste by provides a landfill (place to processing waste). Wonogiri regency has 5 landfill who spread in 5 different district of Pracimantoro, Baturetno, Ngadirojo, Slogohimo, and Purwantoro. The purpose of this research is to determine the alternative location of landfill in Wonogiri Regency, so waste handling can be more effective and optimal. It is expected to reduced the social impact caused by waste and make a proposal of waste management that can be applied to the landfill. In the determination of alternative location of landfill, the researcher uses Technique Of Order Preference method by Similarity To Ideal Solution (Topsis) which in this method uses several alternatives and criteria to simplify the decision making process. This result research is Baturetno as Landfill location with highest score is 0.82 than the other landfill location. Also the creation of a scheme / site plan advanced processing of waste into methane gas that can be utilized by people.
