Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of Teams Games Tournamnets ( TGT ) to improve the student learning activity on the subject of basic equation of accounting X accounting class SMK Prawira Marta 2016/2017. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this research are students of X class Accounting SMK Prawira Marta wich amounted to 24 consisting of 22 female students and 2 male students. Objects in this study is the implementation of learning process obtained from the application of Teams games Tournaments model on subject. Data collection methods used in observation, interviews, field notes and documentation. The procedures in this research there are four stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this research show that the application of Teams Games Tournamnets (TGT) model can improve students' activity on the subject of basic accounting equations of X class Accounting SMK Prawira Marta in 2016/2017. This is proved by observation before action, the percentage of student activity activeness 44,12%, after the action cycle I have increase with the percentage of activeness 68,28% and in action cycle II increase of activeness percentage equal to 88,32%.
