Abstract

Background: Birth control is an effort to increase public awareness and participation through the maturing age of marriage (Pendewasaan Usia Pernikahan (PUP)). Indonesia is a developing country with high population. Publication of census results BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik (Central Bureau of Statistics)) in August 2010 mentions Indonesia's population density is 237.556.363 inhabitants, consisting 118.084.783 women, and 119.507.600 men, and with a population growth rate of 1.49 percent per year, with Birth Control we can suppress the increase of the number of people, give quality child childbirth, because the parents have considerable time to care for their children, prepare their education, create a prosperous family, reduce the hazards associated with pregnancies that are too close distance or in women who have had many pregnancies. Objectives: Be able to know, understand, and realize the importance of Birth Control in accordance with the standards of nursing care. Method: the method used is descriptive on Mrs. W with case study approach, by performing nursing care ranging from assessment, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Result: after three days of nursing care during home visits, Mrs. W diagnosis appears that her knowledge about the related information are deficient. Conclusion: the nursing problem that occurs on the client has been resolved so the intervention is stopped.
