Abstract
This research identification about mixing code and switching code of conversation teacher and student on Indonesian language learning on class VIII A SMPN 1 Juwiring, Klaten. The subject of this research is teacher and 38 students class VIII A. this research use method padan referensial. Kind of this research is deskriptif kualitatif. Purpose of this research to knowing form and how mixing code and switching code on conversation teacher and student on Indonesian language learning on class VIII A SMPN 1 Juwiring, Klaten. Mechanical validity of the data using triangulation theory. Data analysis technique used is the analysis of qualitative data. Based on the research results form mixing and switching code this is java language. The cause of occurance mixing code and switching code conversation teacher and students is. (1) speaker. (2) audion. (3) change situation. (4) change formal to informal or conversely. (5) conversation change topic. Conclusion of this researh is mixing code and switching code happened because of students using java language in daily life and carried on school learning. Keyword: mixing code, switching code
