Abstract

Concrete manufacture requires special skills to make the process of compacting concrete well. Implementation of compaction may be uneven, takes longer, sometimes even hard to do especially when the structure is curved as in the lighthouse building, in a building or a bridge spillway model of arch. Compaction by vibrators costs and the risk of workmanship error, takes a lot of time and energy.Several studies have been conducted with the addition of new materials and systems with the new method. Self Compacting Concrete casting method is a method that is more effective than manual methods. In addition to cost-efficient in the use of the vibrator and the number of workers, this method also can reduce the risk to workers. Addition Viscocrete 1003 and Viscoflow 3211 N, can be used as an alternative to accelerate the process of casting by the method of Self Compacting Concrete by increasing the flow rate at the time of casting concrete. The use of the admixture viscocrete 1003 and viscoflow 3211 N optimum can produce compressive strength and maximum flexural strength.Cylindrical test objects with Ø 15 cm and 30 cm high and with a beam width of 15 cm, 15 cm high and 53 cm long. Preparation of the specimen with the addition Viscocrete 1003 and Viscoflow 3211 N are varied ranging from 0.4% to 1.2% by weight of cement, with each test specimen variation as much as 3 pieces. The research phase consisted of preparation tools and materials, materials testing, manufacture and testing of the concrete specimen.Research shows that the optimum level occurred in Viscocrete 1003 adding as much as 0.6% yield concrete compressive strength of 19.05 MPa, resulting in flexural strength of 2.49 MPa.
