Abstract

Reinforced concrete column is one part of building construction which serves as a support loads of beams and plates, to be forwarded to the ground base through the foundation. Therefore, the column is the structure that supports the axial load with / without bending moments. In general reinforcement consists of reinforced concrete columns and shear press. Reinforcement press mounted vertically on the axis of the column and serves to hold the compressive load, whereas shear or begel mounted transverse to the axis of the concrete column and serves as a load-bearing shear force. In this study conducted two times the compressive strength test, the first test at the threshold of the column before jacketing using bamboo reinforcement, and testing the second is when the corrected column with jacketing method using bamboo reinforcement bars ori as elongated as a substitute for iron. This study using concrete with compressive strength of 20 MPa plan, test objects concrete columns measuring 15 cm long, 15 cm wide and 150 cm high. This experiment is the strength of concrete before jacketing using bamboo reinforcement and after in jacketing using bamboo ori reinforcement. Results pengujin which may indicate an increase in the compressive strength of the column before in jacketing using reinforcement bamboo and after in jacketing using reinforcement bamboo ori. Recent gains in the range (from 16 to 44)%. Based on the results obtained from this study showed that the concrete column in jacketing using bamboo reinforcement provides positive benefits and can be developed further in order to be more useful.
