Abstract

This aim to (1) describe the meaning of the classification in junior high school bulletin board 1 Masaran country. (2) describe the analysis of lexical meaning on a school bulletin board. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This research data is the kinds of meaning and meaning lexical found on bulletin boards at state junior high school 1 Masaran. This research data source is the school bulletin board. Data collection techniques are engineering documentation, refer to the methods, techniques involed refer to free conversation, and record. Data analysis using unified referential method with advanced technique HBB (Circuit Appeals Distinguish). The results of research that 11 kinds of meaning and 2 lexical meaning. The kinds of meaning that is narrower sense of the 21 forms, broad meaning 22 form, the meaning of cognitive 34 forms, conontative meaning and emotive 21 forms, referential meaning 16 form, meaning construction 12 forms, the lexical meaning and grammatical 84 form, meaning proposition 8 form, meanging center 6 forms, 11 forms of pictorial meaning, and the meaning of idiomatic 4 form. Idesional meaning is not found in this study. Lexical meaning that denotative 34 form and connotative meaning 26 form. Key words: meaning, lexical meaning, denotative maening, connotative meaning
