Abstract

Sectio caesarea namely an artificial labor with fetal surgery to give birth through surgery where the incision made in the mother's abdomen and uterus. Based on data obtained in the RSU Assalam Gemolong normal labor as much as 491 (77.6%) of labor and childbirth and sectio caesarea 141 (22.3%) deliveries. Sectio caesarea many patients who complain of pain in the cesarean scar. Pain is reasonable because the body injured and the healing process is not perfect. Physical discomfort can disrupt sleep postpartum mothers. The purpose of this research is to maintain (or establish) sleep patterns in mother post sectio caesarea which provides enough energy to undergo daily activities. The author conducted research in March at RSU Assalam Gemolong. The method used is observation, interview and documentation. The results of research by the author got a problem disruption of sleep patterns caused by pain, less comfortable environments, and anxiety. Intervention by the author include: identify sleep disorder patients and causes sleep disorders, teach relaxation techniques, encourage the family to do massage on the back, giving analgesics, reducing distraction environment and things that disturb sleep, keep the bed, limit visitors and recommend that no visit during the hours of rest, discuss with the patient in reducing anxiety, explain and provide support to patients not to be afraid and anxious, observation number and quality of the patient's sleep. After 3 days of nursing interventions for sleep disorders is resolved, so the intervention is stopped. The next action plan that provides support and motivation to get enough rest, and advise the patient to maintain the intensity of rest that sleep patterns are not disrupted.
