Abstract

The problem’s background of this research is to due to the weak of conceptual and procedural mathematics comprehension at student tenth grade of health nurse in SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu. The purpose of this research is to increase conceptual and procedural mathematics comprehension after doing of learning strategy Problem Based Learning (PBL) base Group Investigation (GI). The type of this research is action class research. The subject of the research is student tenth grade of health nurse at SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu. The technique of collecting data with observation method, test, documentation, and field note. The technique of analyzing data with qualitative data. The result of this research show that increase of conceptual mathematics comprehension has been seen by indicator ability: 1. Re-explain a concept before the action as many 2 students (10 %) after the action increasing become 18 students (90 %). 2. Giving example and not example from a concept before the action as many 3 students (15 %) after the action increasing become 19 students (95 %). 3. Showing concept in representation form before the action as many 1 student (5 %) after the action increasing become 17 students (85 %). 4. Applicating concept or algorithm in problem solving before the action as many 1 student (5 %) after the action increasing become 17 students (85 %). While increase of procedural matheatics comprehension has been seen by indicator ability: 1. Apply procedur of answering agree before the action as many 2 students (10 %) after the action increasing become 17 students (85 %). Based of the analyzing in above, can getting conclusion that through the use of learning strategy Problem Based Learning (PBL) base Group Investigation (GI) so conceptual and procedural mathematics comprehension have been increased.
