Abstract
The purpose of the research are: 1) To determine whether or not the influence of emotional intelligence to the interest in entrepreneurship. 2) To determine whether or not the influence of creative thinking skills to the interest in entrepreneurship. 3) To determine whether or not the influence of emotional intelligence and creative thinking skills to the interest in entrepreneurship. The kind of this research is a descriptive research with quantitative approach to drawing conclusions through statistical methods with SPSS V.17 For Windows. The population in this study consisted of all students Accounting Education Program VI Semester FKIP UMS Academic Year 2013/2014 with sample of 119 students by using proportional random sampling technique. The data use in this study came from a questionnaire that had been deploying and documentation. Before further use, the questionnaire beforehand tested to determine the level of validity and reliability. This study uses prerequisite test analysis in the form of normality test, linearity and multi co-linearity, while the technique of analysis data that used in this research are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, coefficient of determination and then relative contribution and effective. The results of the regression analysis obtained regression equation line: Y = 7,021 + 0,508 X1 + 0,409 X2 + e. The conclusions that can be drawn from this equation are: 1) "There is the influence of emotional intelligence to the interest in entrepreneurship" is acceptable. This is the evident through hypothesis test (t test), indicating that t count> t table namely 7.516> 1.980 with significance probability value <0.05, namely 0.000 and effective contribution (EC) of 28.6%. 2) "There is the influence of creative thinking skills to the interest in entrepreneurship" is acceptable. This is the evident through hypothesis test (t test), that is know that tcount> ttable namely 6.522> 1.980 with significance probability value <0.05, namely 0.000 and effective contribution (EC) of 22.4%. 3) "There is the influence of emotional intelligence and creative thinking skills to the interest in entrepreneurship" is acceptable, demonstrated by F test, which indicates the value of Fcount> Ftable is 60.425> 3.07 and the significant probability value <0.05 is 0.000, with the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.51% while the remaining 49% is influenced by other variables outside this research.
