Abstract

Maintaining health is very important for life. Body health need to be considered for all people especially the heart health. The heart is vital organ of the human which function is to pump blood around the body and to hold them back after cleaning lungs. The heart beat per minute (bpm) is parameter to indicate the condition of the heart, and the way to identify the condition of the heart is to identify the frequency of the heartbeat. Besides heart, and the must considered is the temperature of body. The changing of body temperature is thightly related to the excessive heat production, maximum heat production and over heat expending. Measuring instrument heartbeat and body temperature are designed based arduino and android smartphone using sensor DS18B20 as the temperature gauge and pulse sensor is to detected heartbeat. Heartbeat and body temperature data is displayed on the LCD 16x2 and android smartphone via HC-05 bluetooth connection. The aim of this study is to simplify the determining the heartbeat frequency and body temperature. The average gap between the DS18B20 digital termometer is of 0.89 0C at 0.47 0C on the forehead and armpits. Measurement of heartbeat using pulse sensor and oxymeter is obtained by the scale of 2.33 bpm in the finger and 2.66 bpm in the ear. The distance between the bluetooth range and android smartphone is as far as 15 meter.
