Abstract

One of the therapeutic management of patients with depression is antidepressant drug. The problem of medication is Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR)). ADR can exacerbate underlying disease being treated to cause death. The purpose of this study was determine the antidepressant drug that caused the ADR in outpatient at RSJD Surakarta during August 2015 and knowing which antidepressant drugs mostly caused ADR. This research method using non experimental type of direct interviews conducted with the patients and continued monitoring of the patient during the next 7 days use cell phones and supported with secondary data from medical record. The data were analyzed using the Naranjo algorithm. There were 21 subjects of research, 13 subjects (61.9%) experienced ADR event. Amitryptylin medication was the most medicine that caused ADR there were 5 subjects (38.46%) with probable ADR manifestations such as drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain. Maprotilin medication caused ADR on 4 subjects (30.76%) with probable ADR manifestations such as drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Fluoxetine medication caused ADR on 4 subjects (30.76%) with possible ADR manifestation such as dry mouth.
