Abstract

This research related to education quality improvement models that apply to an educational institution. The purpose of this study to: 1) describe the school in improving the service quality of education, 2) describe the culture of the school in improving the quality of education, 3) describe learning strategies in enhancing the quality of education. This study used a qualitative approach, this research subject is SD Muhammadiyah 8 Jagalan located on Jl. Surya No. 145 Jagalan Jebres of Surakarta. The results obtained by some conclusions, the model is applied to improve the quality of SD Muhammadiyah 8 Jagalan by applying the service as much as possible to stakeholders: 1) by applying a two-way communication service, outstanding service and good communication between school interwoven with the stakeholders will have an impact on improving public confidence in the school. 2) Apply a school culture that is: the culture of noble character, the culture of achievement and independence, skilled culture, family culture, and the culture of respect. 3) Implement the best possible learning strategy is to apply the curriculum set by the government, namely SBC, and the special characteristics of the school Muhammadiyah curriculum is the curriculum Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK), applying the learning model is more variation, penanman character on the learner starts with habituation program .
