Abstract

This study aims to increase student interest in the learning process Citizenship Education in class V SDN Pajang III Surakarta academic year 2012/2013 through the implementation strategiConcept Sentence. Students' interest is very less before being given a class act and the teacher had to seek alternative solutions, among others: teaching methods lectures, assignments (PR), and question and answer that is expected able to increase student interest. The result of the application of learning methods have not been able to enhance the activity of learning. The solution offered in this research is to use learning strategies Concept Sentence. Subject implementation of the action is class V SDN Pajang III Surakarta totaling 43 students. Data collection techniques by using the method of observation, documentation interview. The procedure in this study, there are four stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This classroom action research conducted through two cycles, technical analysis, data presentation and conclusion. Expected by the application of learning strategies Concept Sentence interest in learning in the learning process Citizenship Education in class V SDN Pajang III Surakarta can increase 81.40% from 43 students. The results showed that the level of student interest in the class V SDN Pajang III Surakarta Year 2012 / 2013yaitu of the high interest in learning before held a classroom action research is 13 students (32.21%). After the action has been agreed that by implementing learning strategies Sentence Concept, first cycle increased to 22 students (51.22%) and the second cycle increased to 35siswa (81.40%). Based on research data of the class action, the action hypothesis which states "Allegedly through Implementation Strategy Concept Sentence able to Improve Students' Learning Interest in Citizenship Education Learning Process in class V SDN Display Surakarta III Academic Year 2012/2013", is proven and can be accepted as true
