Abstract

Peningkatan IMT dapat menyebabkan terjadinya Osteoarthritis lutut dan akan mempengaruhi kapasitas fisik. Berat badan yang berlebih pada ibu rumah tangga ditambah dengan aktifitas yang banyak selama bertahun-tahun, diduga dapat mempengaruhi kejadian Osteoarthritis pada lutut. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan indeks massa tubuh dengan osteoarthritis lutut pada ibu rumah tangga di desa Kresekan, Pundungan Juwiring Klaten. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kresekan Pundungan, Juwiring Klaten. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Maret 2014. Metode penelitian adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional,dengan desain penelitian one shot case. Sampel sebanyak 89 orang ibu rumah tangga di Ibu Rumah Tangga Di Desa Kresekan, Pundungan Juwiring Klaten. analisa data dengan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian diketahui nilai Nilai OR sebesar 2, 524 yang artinya subyek yang mempunyai berat badan gemuk mempunyai peluang mengalami osteoarthritis lutut sebesar 2.5241 kali lebih besar dari pada subyek yang mempunyai berat badan normal. Nilai OR sebesar 0.462 yang artinya subyek yang mempunyai berat badan normal mempunyai peluang mengalami osteoarthritis lutut sebesar 0.462kali lebih besar dari pada subyek yang mempunyai berat badan kurus Kesimpulan adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan Osteoarthritis lutut pada ibu rumah tangga Penelitian di Desa Juwiring, Pundungan Klaten pada bulan April 2014. Increased BMI may lead to Osteoarthritis of the knee and will influent of physical capacity. Over weight of housewife added with the activity which is many during through years was allegedly can affect to Osteoarthritis incidence of the knee. Objective: this research to know the relation of body mass index with osteoarthritis of the knee of housewife in Kresekan village, Pundungan of Juwiring Klaten. Place of this research is executed in Kresekan village Pundungan, of Juwiring Klaten during March 2014. research method was analytic observational and cross sectional approach. Design research was using one shot case. Sample research were 89 housewifes who live in Kresekan village, Pundungan Juwiring Klaten. Data analysis was using Chi Square test. Result of research OR value= 2.524. it means that respondent who had overweight has opportunity to osteoarthritis knee as 2.241 more risk than respondent who normal weight. OR 0.462. it means that respondent who had normal weight has opportunity to osteoarthritis knee as 0.462 more risk than respondent who had underweight. Conclusion : there is a significant relation of body mass index with osteoarthritis of the knee of housewife in Kresekan Village, Pundungan of Juwiring Klaten
