Abstract

Game top-ups have become a transaction activity that is usually carried out by the public. One of them is online game top up transactions through a website-based online shop. In the transaction, there is a mechanical flowthat needs to be known before making a transaction. Game top-up transactions are a form of muamalah. In Islamic Law, all muamalah is permissible unless there is a proposition prohibiting it. Therefore, it is necessary to review the transaction mechanism in accordance with what is allowed in the muamalah. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques, namely observation and documentation. From observations made by researchers, the flow of mechanisms in game top up transactions through website-based online shops starts from adding products, purchasing items, paying to shipping items. In Fatwa No.146/DSN-MUI/XII/2021 concerning Online Shop Based on Sharia Principles, there are provisions for conducting transactions through online shops. This study provides an illustration that to make game top up transactions through online shops, they must follow the provisions so that transactions carried out are in accordance with Sharia.
