Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of 1) To produce math teaching modules through the STEM approach assisted by the Canva application in class VI of elementary schools on flat sided geometric material. 2) To describe the design of the development of the mathematics teaching module design through the STEM approach assisted by the Canva application in class VI of elementary schools on the material of flat sided spaces. 3) To describe the feasibility of teaching mathematics modules through the STEM approach assisted by the Canva application in class VI of elementary schools on the developed flat sided space material. The type of research used is Research and Development (RnD) research and development with a research step design initiated by Borg and Gall. The research was conducted at SD IT PERSIS 99 Rancabango, Tarogong Kaler sub-district, Garut Regency, with 25 class VI students as the research subjects. Collecting research data using interview techniques, questionnaires, documentation, and tests. The results of the study showed (1) that as many as eight students (88.9%) agreed that they needed a mathematics learning module that was able to improve communication skills with friends and teachers. Regarding creative thinking skills, 77.8% of students strongly agree that they need modules that can help them improve their creative thinking skills. (2) The results of the feasibility test from linguists, the validation percentage of this module is 84.44%. Based on the assessment of the media validator, the validation percentage for this module is 98.75%. Based on the assessment of the media validator, the validation percentage for this module is 88.75%. Based on a percentage of 82.5%, it means that the presentation of material in this module can be categorized as very valid. (3) Media development is carried out through the following stages (a) potential and problems, (b) data collection, (c) product design, (d) design validation, (e) design revision, (f) product trials, (g) ) product revision . 4) The results of the pretest and posttest tests on the main field test show that the STEM-based mathematics teaching module is very effective for use in learning with a t-count result of -7.10346, if it is included in the t-count criterion it is not among the t-table values, so Ho is rejected . so that Ho is rejected then Ha is accepted.
