Abstract

Independent learning is an idea that frees teachers and students in determining learning systems. Various kinds of inspiring learning strategies are needed in implementing independent learning. One of them is differentiation learning. Based on the results of the initial study, problems around differentiated learning are still encountered. One of them is that there is still a discrepancy in the teacher's perception of differentiated learning and its implementation in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to explore teachers' perceptions of students' sensory learning styles and their implementation in creating differentiated content. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data sources in this study were five science teachers in Grobogan Regency and the content/teaching material documents they made. Collecting data using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that teachers' perceptions of students' sensory learning styles are relevant to their implementation in creating differentiated content. This shows that the teacher's perception is very important in the implementation of differentiated learning. It is necessary to conduct teacher training related to differentiated learning so that teachers have the right perception of differentiated learning. Implementation of differentiated learning will work effectively if all teachers have the right perception.
