Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of e-commerce for micro-entrepreneurs at the Timlo MbaTiek restaurant in Surakarta City and the obstacles to using e-commerce in business development at the Timlo MbaTiek restaurant in Surakarta City. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic design. The data used by researchers comes from the owners and employees of Timlo Mba Tiek. Data collection techniques were obtained using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using reduction, presentation and verification. The data validity technique used is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the use of e-commerce for changes in Timlo Mba Tiek's business development is supported by a marketing strategy for Instagram social media promotion and a marketing strategy for e-commerce platforms shopefood, gofood, grabfood, tokopedia and whatshaapp. The existing obstacles are system adjustments applications, signal interference, other distribution channels. By considering these constraints, it is hoped that there will be special efforts that are sustainable, so that in the future MSME (Micro Small Medium Enterprise) business owner can use the e-commerce system.
