Abstract

The beach is a natural tourist destination that is visited by many foreigners and local residents. One of the beaches that is still preserved is Jos Beach, which is in Demangharjo Village, Warureja District, Tegal Regency, with the concept of developing architectural ecology while still maintaining the ecosystem in the coastal environment. According to A.J. Burkat in Damanik (2006), "tourism" is the "movement of people to destinations outside of where they live and work for short periods of time with activities during their temporary stay." Basically, activities in the marine tourism area invite history, tranquility, courage, challenges, and most importantly, love for the natural and marine environment and life in it. Before carrying out development, it is necessary to know the condition of Jos Demangharjo Beach. The results of the observations become the foundation for the development of tourism objects. As already explained, the current condition of Jos Demangharjo Beach needs development, both in terms of attractions and accessibility, as well as facilities. The site plan is divided into three points based on the potential of the Jos Demangharjo Beach area. The division into three points will be made in an integrated or continuous manner. With an ecological architectural approach, it is hoped that this will be able to overcome the problems that occur and provide a step forward for marine tourism in Indonesia.
