Abstract

Education can be interpreted as an effort to create and build self-potential, which is able to master science and technology so that it can build the morals of human reason. Formal education is mainly divided into several levels, namely basic education, secondary education, and higher education. Basic education provides the basics to attend education at the next level of education. The success of attending education in high school and college is largely influenced by success in attending primary education. Education for the Indonesian people needs to be carried out optimally, because education is an effort to realize the images of the Indonesian nation, namely educating the nation's life, as stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution. In general, the success of educational development programs can be measured by various indicators including the APK (Gross Participation Rate) and the ratio of students and classes or schools. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), South Klaten District has a total of 22 elementary school buildings, including 19 public elementary schools and 3 private elementary schools scattered randomly. This research was conducted to analyze the distribution pattern and fulfillment of Basic School Education facilities in South Klaten District. The research analysis used is in the form of quantitative analysis used to determine distribution patterns based on the Average Nearest Neigborhood method, and quantitative descriptive analysis to explain data on the fulfillment of basic education facilities, as well as buffers and kernel density to see the range of services and concentration of educational facilities in South Klaten.. The results showed a Nearest Neighborhood Ratio value of 1.139622 so that the distribution pattern of elementary school locations included a random or irregular pattern. APK values from 2017-2021 show fluctuations that indicate inconsistencies in APK achievements in Klaten District, the highest APK value in 2019 with a value of 83.63 and the lowest in 2021 with a value of 77.62. The availability of existing classrooms is in accordance with the number of students, which means that all existing classes are ideal to accommodate the total students in each school.
