Abstract

SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta is one of the state vocational high schools in Surakarta. At the school there is a work program for grade 12 students, namely Field Work Practices or commonly referred to as street vendors. The implementation of PKL at SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta uses conventional methods in terms of submission, monitoring and assessment. This raises problems related to the efficiency of the PKL submission process, Student Assessment and also the lack of monitoring by the school on students who carry out PKL. Based on these problems, the PKL Information System application was made. This application aims to facilitate the implementation of street vendors, submissions in the implementation of street vendors, monitoring students who carry out street vendors, and making it easier to process student grades by teachers. This system was developed using the waterfall method which has the advantage that it is more organized and efficient in system development. This system is built using a programming language in the form of PHP based on the CodeIgniter framework and a database using MySQL. The system was successfully created with the blackbox test which was declared valid and the SUS test which got a score of 74 in the GOOD category and was declared eligible for use. The system can be useful for schools in the implementation, monitoring and documentation of Real Work Practices.
