Abstract
The ease of life supported by the progress of the times, indeed provides facilities that have never been thought of before. With the progress of human effort from though thought, making humans increasingly need other conveniences. With regard to social behavior arising from the facilities that humans, especially Muslims, are increasingly eroded in terms of aqeedah. As Muslims increasingly rely on the progress of mankind, they increasingly forget about the Almighty God. They forget that power that gives life and everything that makes a living for them. With the decline of aqidah caused by the advances of the Times and also the pressure of social conditions, leading Muslims to practices of deviation in aqidah. Belief in other forces that rival Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. This thesis is entitled "Social criticism in Surat Al -' Ankabut verse 41 about shirk to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala (study of the book “Tafsir al-Munir aqeedah, Shari'ah, Manhaj” by Wahbah Zuhaili). This study includes the type of literature research (Library Research) with a socio-historical approach to link the behavior of shirk in the past with the form of shirk in the present, and also this study uses descriptive-analytical methods. In this case the author will explain the interpretation of Wahbah Zuhaili about surat Al - ' Ankabut verse 41 with the systematics that has been conveyed Wahbah Zuhaili in the book of Tafsir, then linking with social phenomena. Positioning the interpretation of the verse as a criticism of the social behavior of Muslims that leads to shirk.This study shows that surat Al - ' Ankabut verse 41 through the interpretation of Wahbah Zuhaili gives clear information that this verse is engaged in social criticism that is closely related to shirk, such as belief in the power of protection or security provided other than by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala such as: the power of power, the power of wealth, the power of science. They have the power and authority of God.
