Abstract
Retail sales businesses such as franchising have begun to develop and are popping up in Indonesia. This study aims to find out the form and content of the franchise agreement between the giver and recipient at CV Triber Indonesia and what are the legal responsibilities of the franchisee in the event of default on the CV Triber Indonesia franchise agreement. The research method used in this study uses a normative doctrinal approach. The data source used is secondary data obtained through literature studies or document studies which are then analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of this study show that the form of the franchise agreement made by CV Triber Indonesia is a simple written agreement consisting of 4 articles containing the main rules and agreements of the franchise agreement, and has fulfilled the legal requirements of an agreement based on article 1320 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, regarding legal responsibility in the event of a default, CV Triber Indonesia applies article 1267 that in a reciprocal agreement if one party defaults, the party that does not receive its rights has the right to cancel the agreement and ask for compensation.
