Abstract

The tourist area in Ngawi Regency is not yet well known to both local and foreign tourists because there are several wealth of tourist objects that have not been explored. The development of Ngawi Regency’s tourism is still experiencing infrastructure constraints because it has not been equipped with qualified facilities and infrastructure. It hasn't gone viral on social media yet, so not many people know the location of existing tourist attractions. Mapping the area can use Geographic Information System technology and promotional media can use WEB SIG technology. The objectives of this study were: (1) to analyze and classify the level of potential in tourism objects in Ngawi Regency, and (2) to develop a tourism WEB SIG to find out potential and promotional media in Ngawi Regency. The method that the writer uses in this study is observation and interviews. The analytical method that the author uses is scoring analysis to carry out internal and external potential analysis, and also for mapping analysis on tourism GIS web development. The results show that the potential for tourist attractions in Ngawi Regency is from a direct observation regarding the conditions of accessibility, attractiveness, and also supporting facilities. From the results of observations by scoring by dividing into 2 classes, the first class is a tourist area that has high potential in the attractions of the Trinil Museum, Srambang Waterfall, and Suwono Waterfall. While the potential class is in the tourist area which is in the Tawun Recreation Park, Jamus Tea Garden, and Srigati Guesthouse. The Ngawi Regency tourism GIS web system has a main page display, namely a map that is OpenStreetMap. The features in the GIS web include layer features, geolocation, search panels, zoom, and base map.
