Abstract

The city of Yogyakarta has the nickname as a city of education and a city of tourism. Two main factors of education and tourism make the city of Yogyakarta a rapidly growing and busy area. Changes in land use in the city of Yogyakarta and its surroundings also occur quite large, especially when viewed multi-temporal in 2005, 2013 and 2021, the need for land is directly proportional to the increase in population, narrower land will reduce green open space. The availability of green open space is very important for the sustainability of a city. The aims of this research are 1) how is the availability of Green Open Space when viewed multi-temporal in 2005, 2013 and 2021; 2) how is the suitability related to the availability of Green Open Space with the number of residents in the city of Yogyakarta multi-temporal in 2005, 2013 and 2021. The research method used in this study is through an approach using the transformation of the NDVI vegetation index (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) used to identify changes in use land in the city of Yogyakarta in a multi-temporal manner, By using photogrammetry technology and remote sensing using Landsat imagery because it has a wide coverage in one scene that can cover a wide enough coverage with relatifly fast multitemporal recording time, the data analysis method used in this study is a spatial analysis that aims to analyze the availability of green open space in the city of Yogyakarta in the three time periods and quantitative analysis of numerical data, namely by calculating the availability and need for green open space, including analysis of the availability of green open space associated with gan The number of residents in the city of Yogyakarta according to Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 5/PRT/M/2008. This research result shows that the availability of green open space in the city of Yogyakarta in 2005, 2013 and 2021, has a trend that continues to decline every year along with the growth of the city, there is also a reduction in open land or vegetation land with a percentage value of 31.36%. in 2005 it fell to 20.54% in 2013 and to 13.53% in 2021. Calculation of the availability of city green open space according to ministerial regulation number 05 of 2008 was 30% in the city of yogyakarta in 2005 with an area of 33.46% considered meet the minimum area, while in 2013 it did not meet the minimum requirement with only 21.19% available, as well as in 2021 with an area of only 14.43%. The city of Yogyakarta in 2005 and 2013 was still in the ideal category with the ideal green open space value which was still below the city's green open space availability, while in 2021 a decline occurred making the area of green open space availability less than the ideal green open space area for that year.
