Abstract

The film is a mass media that can be used as a means of entertainment, a means of persuading the public, and a means of education. In the film contains moral values and moral emotions. Moral emotions is an emotion that comes out as a result of responding to a moral violation or something that can motivate moral behavior. This study aims to find out how the meaning of the message of moral emotion in the film Ali dan Ratu – Ratu Queens. The type of research used by researchers in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data collection method used is documentation. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, and the analysis technique used was Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis technique. The validity of the data used by researchers is data triangulation. The results of this study are that there are moral emotions, namely gratitude, affection, and pride for achievements. Gratitude is included in morals related to human relationships with God, compassion is included in morals related to human relationships with other humans in the social and natural spheres, and pride in achievements is included in morals related to human relationships with oneself.
