Abstract

The type of research used is research based on data or materials needed, such as books, journals, literature, reports, and other materials related to the problem being discussed. The approach is in the form of a case, collecting data from secondary legal materials. In accordance with the findings, criminal sanctions for people who obtain timber forest products without including a legal certificate of forest products are based on Article 83 paragraph (1) of Law Number 18 of 2013 and consist of imprisonment for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, as well as a decision The Supreme Court Number 2246 K/Pid.Sus-Lh/2016 revealed that the judge's decision in this case did not violate the applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the evaluation of Islamic criminal law is based on Surah Al Maidah verse 49 in the form of imprisonment and compensation (ghuramah).
