Abstract
Much of the work is still done manually, both formal and informal. In the informal sector including traditional markets, many workers are done manually, such as lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, holding and moving goods with or without mechanical aids which can cause musculoskeletal complaints, so it is important to conduct this research. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the risk of working posture using the REBA method on musculoskeletal complaints in transportation workers at Pasar Gede Surakarta. The type of research used is quantitative with an analytical observational research design and a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample of 36 respondents. Measurement of work posture risk using REBA method and measurement of musculoskeletal complaints using the Nordic Body Map. The results were carried out using the SPSS version 20.0 program. This study shows that the most dominant level of work posture risk is the moderate category as much as 52.8%. The results of the statistical test of bivariate analysis showed the p value = (0.00 < 0.05) and the value (r = 0.596) using Spearman's Rank. It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the risk of work posture and musculoskeletal complaints and had a strong relationship with a positive direction. It is recommended to pay attention to the working posture, stretch the muscles in order to reduce the occurrence of musculoskeletal complaints and maximize the use of trolleys.
