Abstract

Banks are financial institutions that aim to increase the economic equality of the Indonesian people through various facilities, one of which is credit. Credit is a debt agreement that requires an agreement to secure the position of both parties. In banking, it is common to apply standard agreements as standard agreements with customers. This study aims to find out how the process and suitability of credit agreements between debtors and Bank BRI KC Sukoharjo apply standard agreements based on the principle of balance. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach, namely by analyzing and describing BRI bank credit agreements based on the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia. The results of the research that can be concluded from this study are the BRI bank credit agreement process through several procedures to sign a credit agreement called a Debt Acknowledgment Letter (SPH). SPH Bank BRI KC Sukoharjo has fulfilled the legal requirements according to article 1320 of the Criminal Code and there is an imbalance between the debtor and the creditor with the discovery of several articles that tend to burden the debtor if a problem occurs.
