Abstract

Landslides are natural disasters that often occur in Indonesia, especially in the mountains. Ngargoyoso District is one of the sub-districts on the slopes of Mount Lawu. Ngargoyoso District has a varied topography with flat to steep slopes. This condition makes Ngargoyoso District has a large potential for landslides. The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution of landslide susceptibility levels in Ngargoyoso District and analyze the dominant factors causing the landslide susceptibility level in Ngargoyoso District. The method used in this study is an indirect survey and secondary data analysis, which focuses on the parameters that cause landslides. Then it is processed by rating each parameter and scoring analysis using a quantitative descriptive GIS approach based on land units and determining the dominant factor using a comparative descriptive data analysis technique by comparing the determinants of land prices with the results of multiple linear regression. The results of the study on a low level of vulnerability in Ngargoyoso District were 53.64 ha or 0.87% of the total area. The medium vulnerability level is the most dominating class, covering an area of 5270.81 ha or 85.84%. The total area of high vulnerability is 816.09 ha or 13.29% and the main factors that cause the high level of landslide susceptibility in Nagrgoyoso District are rainfall factors, land use factors, and slope factors, respectively.
