Abstract

Ngargoyoso District is an area that has experienced changes in land use from agricultural land to non-agricultural/built-up land due to the influence of regional development and increasing population. Ngargoyoso District is a tourist area and there are natural tourism objects that are still beautiful. This study aims to analyze the distribution of land change in Ngargoyoso District in 2008 and 2020, and analyze the relationship of land use change to tourism in Ngargoyoso District. The research method used in this study is the interpretation of remote sensing imagery, with the aim of identifying land use in Ngargoyoso District in 2008 and 2020. The data analysis method in this study is comparative descriptive, by comparing the results of land use in Ngargoyoso District in 2008 with 2020. Changes land use that occurred in Ngargoyoso District from 2008 to 2020, covering an area of 225.52 ha. The highest land change is in Ngargoyoso Village with an area of 50.89 ha, but this village does not have a tourist attraction. Based on this, it can be said that the magnitude of land use change in Ngargoyoso District is not always followed by the existence of tourism objects. There are other factors that affect land use change in Nagrgoyoso District, especially in 2008 – 2020.
