Abstract

The need for cash held by the company is important because it can be used as investment, pay dividends, and maintain cash flow. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, firm size, and net working capital on cash holding. The population used is consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020. Purposive sampling method was used in sampling and samples that met the criteria for analysis were 93 samples. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression. The results show that profitability and leverage have an effect on cash holding, while firm size and net working capital have no effect on cash holding in consumer goods companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020.
