Abstract

Changes in land use occur due to the increasing number of people who have an increasing impact on land every year. Ngemplak sub-district is an area that used to be an agricultural area, but changes occur very rapidly because of its very strategic location, so it is necessary to map land changes in Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency and analyze the factors that cause land changes that occur in the area. The purpose of this study is to analyze land use changes in Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency in 2011-2021 and to analyze land use in Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency in 2011-2021 against the spatial plan for the suitability of the changes. This research method is an indirect survey, with a spatial approach utilizing data from remote sensing processing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). and data collection methods using secondary data and primary data for data analysis methods using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and comparative descriptive methods. The results of the study are changes in land use that occurred in 2011 and 2021 covering an area of 145.93 ha. The change is towards settlements covering an area of 141.24 ha. The rest is for industry and dry land/fields covering an area of 3.92 ha and 0.76 ha, respectively. Sawasan Village being the largest experienced a change, as for an area of 28.38 ha and Pandeyan Village being the lowest with an area of 3.05 ha. Changes in land use form a significant clustering pattern. There is a tendency to approach the airport area and reservoir area. Overall, most of the land use changes in Ngemplak District have been in accordance with the direction of the spatial pattern. Changes in land use that are not suitable are mostly in the spatial pattern of allotment of wetland agricultural areas, as for the area of 38.65 ha. The lowest is the designation of the reservoir area, which is 1.16 ha. The decrease in agricultural land is feared to have a negative impact, and is not in accordance with the spatial plan of the Ngemplak District which is an area for developing the agropolitan sector and the sustainable agricultural sector.
