Abstract
Changes in land use occur due to the increasing number of people which has an impact on land that is increasing every year. Sukoharjo Subdistrict is an agricultural area, but because of its strategic location, it has undergone very rapid changes that require monitoring changes in land use in Sukoharjo District. The study was conducted in Sukoharjo Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency. The objectives of this study include (1) Analyzing the distribution of land use changes in Sukoharjo District, Sukoharjo Regency? (2) Analyze the factors affecting land use change in Sukoharjo District, Sukoharjo Regency. The research method in this study uses primary data analysis as well as secondary data. The purposive sampling technique is used for sampling, functioning to validate the results of map interpretation and conducting interviews with the head of the Village of Kelurahan who provides evidence of land use changes. Data processing to determine land use change is carried out by overlaying 2015 land use data with a 2021 land use map. The overlay results were analyzed using a descriptive method, showing the area of land use in Sukoharjo Regency and the area of land that has changed its use. It was found that rice fields decreased by 58.91 ha while non-built land increased, namely residential land of 139.61 ha and industrial land of 9.35 ha. Increase accessibility for easy access by suitable communities and provide high socioeconomic facilities as open land decreases.
