Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semiotics of the representation of feminism liberal movement in the Moxie film. Feminism is defined as a social movement that is owned by women and seeks to get equal rights between women and men. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive method by examining the feminism depicted in the film Moxie using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis model. The data were validated using source triangulation technique. The results in this study were the Feminism movement in the form of (1) women have the same intelectual capacity as man (2) women have reason to make decisions, (3) every woman has the right to the body, (4) gender equality, (5) women not weak. Liberal feminists want women to be free from oppressive gender roles.
